Peter Jackson, where'd you go? Please come back, I miss you. LORD OF THE RINGS kicked my ass. KING KONG was fucking phenomenal. Seriously, you pulled a good dramatic performance out of Jack Black!!!! That takes talent. Now comes the trainwreck!!!! Maybe brain trauma is associated with weight loss!!!
Having never read the book, I don't have much to go on except that THE LOVELY BONES was a travesty of a movie. Boring. Boring. Boring This is an undramatic mess of a film. It seemed like he was going for the same feel as his earlier work, HEAVENLY CREATURES. Jackson fails horrendously. I've been told by various friends and family that the book is a must read. The movie is an absolute must skip. Rachel Weisz and Mark Walhberg do not make a believable couple. Tucci's talents are once again wasted on this utter festival of crap. Even the CGI is poorly done. Wait a second.......I just said bad CGI by the man that brought us LORD OF THE RINGS. Must I repeat it again? LORD OF THE RINGS!!!!!!
