There's really not much to say about UP IN THE AIR. It is a drama that suits our turbulent economic times perfectly. George Clooney plays a suit that travels the country terminating employees. As a person that has been through a similar employment situation, it truly hit close to home.
This is quite possibly Clooney's best acting role and performance throughout his long line of hits and misses. He also limits the use of the Clooney head wag. Very impressive. Vera Farmiga also does excellent work here. I really liked her in The Departed but she seemed a little green. She's come a long way in a few short years.
This is one movie that I would definitely recommend. It's a little slow at times but the emotion is felt through out. Up In The Air is going to be a serious contender come Oscar time.
